Turkish and Persian in Melbourne
Hi
I am wondering whether any of the Antipodean Chowhounds can recommend Turkish restaurants (other than on Sydney Road) in Melbourne and whether anybody is aware of any Persian restaurants in Melbourne. Please note I am interested in Persian rather than Afghani restaurants.
Am particularly interested in places in the northern or western suburbs.

Turkish - pretty much Sydney Road is it (stretching into East Brunswick), though of course of them there are many smaller places specialising in particular areas of Turkey. And there's Gigibaba in Collingwood. Then you are into generic Lebanese/ Middle Eastern territory like Rumi and Momo. Were there particular dishes you were hoping to find?
(real) Persian I have yet to find, despite asking every Iranian I come across - they all seem to shop on Sydney Road at Phoenician and eat at home.
