India Palace of Rockville
Took the family for the lunch buffet here today (first time eating at this restaurant). I came with an open mind as the buffet was only $7.50 for adults and $5.00 for the kids. I can't even tell you exactly what we ate but everything was fantastic (and lots to choose from). The food isnt as spicy as Minerva but every bit as good and perhaps even better then Bombay Bistro and Spice Xing. The restaurant itself is clean and the wait staff friendly although it is a little bit of a challenge to find on your first visit.

I'm absolutely stunned to hear this - my one visit a few years back I swore I'd never return, as it was by FAR the worst Indian buffet I'd ever had.
Better than Bombay Bistro and Spice Xing is quite a bar to hurdle...

I agree. I went about one month after that place opened about 5-6 yrs ago with 2 Indian colleagues. None of us thought the food had any taste or proper spicing; not the dal, paneer, chole, saag, tandoori chicken and other common buffet items. The only good thing was the bhajia and the naan. A huge washout for $7.95.

Maybe they changed chef/owner/management since they first opened. This was my first experience with them and it was great. Ive stopped going to Bombay Bistro because we had a few bad meals there; Spice Xing was good but a little pricey; Minerva was likewise good but found the food a bit spicy for my taste.... If anyone can recommend something better in the Rockville area, please do....
