Looking for "cheap" restaurant for anniversary in greater DC area open New Year's Eve
It's not exactly an anniversary since my husband and I just married a week ago but we have yet to celebrate (we're planning a traditional wedding next year). I'd like to take him to dinner on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day, if anyplace worth visiting for a special event is open January 1. I know it's super short notice and most places will be booked, but I'm hoping for viable suggestions due to the fact we're on a budget and we're not looking for anything extravagant. We'll eat just about anything, but prefer not to indulge in raw foods; we aren't hot on French cuisine, and are generally not into "frou-frou" gourmet. Would like to spend no more than $80 for a full meal (appetizer, entrees, drinks and dessert). Any place near B'more, DC, and even N. Va. is ok. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!
Forgot to add that the meal doesn't necessarily have to be dinner; we'd enjoy a nice brunch as well, if there is a place open New Year's Day (cannot be a New Year's Eve brunch since I work the full day). Thanks!

Slightly more info would be helpful (your location, more of what you're wanting from the experience). But, since it sounds like it should be celebratory with reference to your wedding (congrats, btw), I'll toss out:
)- El Manantial in Reston (http://www.vintechsystems.net/mananti...
- Lightfoot cafe in Leesburg (potentially a nice and shorter drive by using White's Ferry); the Cajun Experience has gotten good reviews here as well as the place with "Wine" in its name.

If you dine in the (nice) bar area at Ray's Classics you can get a 3-course meal for around $20/person or so. The steaks are amazing and come with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. The key lime pie and chocolate cake are to die for. It might not be uber-romantic, but it's a lovely meal on the cheap.
Another option would be to go for tapas---Jaleo or Bodega in Georgetown. You can each share little bites, indulge in some Sangria, sit in a low-lit corner etc.
You of course should call of these places ahead of time and see what type of menu/deals they have for New Years Eve. Their regular menu might not be provided.
If you are looking for a fun brunch place I would check out either Bistro Bis (sometimes they run a 3-course deal for around $30/person) or Cafe Atlantico's Latin Dim Sum.
