Meredith's (Berwyn)

Just thought I'd write a quick note about the somewhat new Meredith's location in Berwyn since we had lunch there on Saturday. The parking situation is much better than at the old location, so that is a plus. We started off with the filet bruschetta, which was very good and the meat was cooked perfectly. I especially liked the balsamic glaze. We also had a cup of the potato leek soup that, while good, was nothing special and not quite hot when it got to the table. We both had salads as well. The signature salad with pistachios, cran raisins, granny smith apples, and blue cheese in a strawberry vinaigrette, and the chopped salad, with tomatoes, corn, peppers, red onion, chic peas, and cucumbers in a honey citrus vinaigrette. Both salads were good, but again, nothing special. My only real complaint would be the service which was a bit disjointed. Our server told us that the specials were french toast and duck salad, but didn't seem to know any of the details. All in all, not a bad place for a quick bite, but nothing to write home about.
