Can anyone tell me the manufacturer of this dutch oven?
Hi,
I picked up a dutch oven from Homegoods and am wondering if anyone can tell me the manufacturer of it. It's a burgundy color with a silver metal handle. The only thing written on it is 5qt. and Made in France. This is written on both the bottom of the lid and the bottom of the dutch oven itself. I'm attaching two photos, one of the dutch oven itself and the other of the inside of the dutch oven and inside of the lid. The inside of the lid has a basting "design" and the bottom of the inside of the dutch oven is "ribbed" (I don't really know what to call it. It's a similar texture to a golf ball). I appreciate any input anyone has on this! Thanks!

Looks like one made by Staub (now Fontignac), sold in the US by QVC. See photos at http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/vi...

Thanks to both of you, you guys are right on! I've been searching on the internet but not really knowing what to search for exactly have not come up with anything. Has anyone had any experience with this DO here? I see a lot of reviews on that QVC link that Miss Priss posted but of course I would trust you guys more.

re: alirov
I believe the one you are picturing is the one qvc sells as their higher end line of Staub. I've no experience with them.. but visually comparing them to the basix I saw at tjm.. I was not impressed with the basix version.. the enameling was consistently pitted and pimpling from piece to piece.. the elite version you've pictured here looked much nicer and I might have picked one up had they had it in a size I'm interested in.
That's just personal impression from the store.. I haven't used either qvc version.
