We do love Mastros .... their fish is awesome. Was trying to think of new places.
Has anyone gone to Mesa? Is Marche Moderne as good? Anaheim White HOuse?

Marche is a very good, excellent in fact.

I would also recommend Napa Rose - really terrific.

Studio at The Montage is now a top flight place with their new Chef (Craig Strong), and the view is just terrific.

Any of these three would be an excellent choice in my opinion.

Mesa is definitely a trendier and more of the LA restaurant that turns into a lounge vibe. I know a sous chef there and they grind their burgers to order. Everything else is pretty decent, although we just had a bunch of nibbles like fries, green bean fries (tasty), charcuterie plate (tiny), raw crimini salad, and pizza and not any of their mains. I don't know if it's anniversary material unless if you're fine with a trendy bar/lounge scene.

I like Mastro's too. Something upscale and new (for you), Mastro's is hard to beat. I think Marche Moderne has a limited seafood menu; I've not ventured to the White House only b/c their menu items sound gimicky.

I like woojink's Napa Rose suggestion (free valet @ Grand Californian w/restaurant reservations); they had a delicious black cod and nice scallops and a wonderful vintner's menu. Stonehill Tavern also has a nice tasting menu with a couple seafood items. Taps ( does seafood well and has a quiet and pretty dining room. I like Roy's too, but not the Anaheim location as much as the others. Old Vine Cafe in Costa Mesa is delicious, but their seafood is limited.

Decisions, decisions...let us know what you decide on and how it went. =) And happy 26th!

        2. Have you been to WildFish? It is in the shopping center on MacArthur and Bison.
