Stollen at Momofuku Milk Bar

I was lucky enough to snag a stollen at the Milk Bar on Christmas eve. Absolutely delicious - moist, tender, full of candied fruit. Not at all heavy or leathery, as stollen often is. It may no longer be available, since it was seasonal, but if you see one, grab it!

      Yup. It has marzipan in it. It's some of the best stollen ever.

    2. I stopped in today and the menu said they offer stollen in two varieties (cranberry-pear or pistachio-lemon) on Wed/Thurs, cranberry-currant-bourbon-lemon peel on Fri/Sat/Sun (unfortunately they were out of it, presumably since nobody worked on Xmas Day). No mention of marzipan.

        The stollen that I tried definitely had pistachio, but I'm not sure about the other ingredients. It was full of flavor but tricky to analyze. It was by far the best stollen I ever had, don't expect the usual chewy, flavorless xmas fodder!
