Good Kosher bakery in the Valley

  • r

I need to bring in cupcakes for an event at my daughter's synagogue this Friday. The baked goods need to be from a Kosher bakery. I know there are several on Burbank Boulevard in North Hollywood (but can go anywhere in the Valley).

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good one? I'm looking for both chocolate and non-chocolate varieties. Also looking for a "treat" that's non-dairy for those lactose intolerant kids.

  1. Although I am not a fan myself, lots of people seem to like Bea's Bakery. It's just north of Ventura Blvd. at Reseda.

I don't know the exact street it is on (maybe Moorpark)but, in any event, if you park in the Gelson's lot, it's just south of it.

Thanks for the Bea's suggestion. However, it is not a true "official kosher" bakery. The food we bring in has to be from a certified kosher bakery.

      Thanks again.

    2. You might also post this in the Kosher Chowhound board - I know there are a number of kosher chowhound members from LA who would be able to recommend kosher bakeries -

Most kosher bakeries will also have non-dairy treats available perfect for lactose intolerant kids -

      1. In Woodland Hills there is Renaissance Bakery, which makes the cookies that are carried in supermarkets around the valley (Ralphs, anyway).

But here is a cute web site:

And here is their list of kosher bakeries in the valley - some closer to you than Renaissance, but I leave it up to you to call and find out if they still exist:
