SD b-day dinner with 2 kids-- Please help!
Our travel plans just changed, and I just found out that we will be in SD for my husband's b-day staying downtown (Grand Hyatt). Is there a good restaurant we can go to with our children (4 and 7)? Ideally a place with great food and wine, but also with a kids menu. We're from Baltimore, so have no clue! We'll be there on a Tues. night

I would go to ROYS. It is located a 2 minute walk along the bay from your hotel. They have a great kids menu with real food items taken from the adult menu. the kids menu includes a qusadilla starter, then cut fruit and vegi's, entree and then a sundae. They make a big deal for kids and sometimes write there name on the plate on chocolate.
The are very good at timing the kids food with the arival of the parents.

If you are willing to spend a few bucks, this place is just terrific. Easy to take the kids and great food and wine. Just a short cab ride from where your staying and well worth the $. And the prices are all that bad anyway. Check out their website: http://www.reidogado.net/
