Amba Falafel , Kosher in the San Francisco / Oakland Bay area

Planning on going to San Francisco bay area later this month. A friend mentioned Amba Falafel had just opened in the Bay area. Searched online and found they have a web site www.ambafalafel.com Has anyone eaten there yet ? Anyone planning on trying it. I would like to know more about before my trip.

That is 10 minutes from where I used to live. It will be a great boon for the frum in that area. It will probably be seen as more out of the way by San Franciscans and tourists than if it was in Elmwood.

I have not been but it does look interesting - Since you will be in the bay area I can not recommend enough The Kitchen Table in Mountain View, CA - IMHO one of the best kosher restaurants in the US - http://www.thekitchentablerestaurant....

Have there been any threads about "The Kitchen Table" restaurant on this board. Where is Mountain View, CA. Is it near Oakland? San Francisco?

The website for The Kitchen Table has a map. It is a bit west of San Jose, southwest of the southern end of the bay. The menu, particularly the appetizers, sounds delicious.
My son is on his way to San Jose today, and I suggested The Kitchen Table for lunch. I will report if he goes there.

My company is headquartered in Palo Alto so I go there any time I am in Palo Alto -- and I can attest to the quality of the food and service - well woth the jaunt from either San Francisco or Oakland - with traffic could push 60 minutes one way depending where you are at - not from the kosher board but here is a discussion from the San Francisco/Oakland board - http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/618560
