Where can I buy eel to cook a traditional Neapolitan meal?

I know there are probably some in Chinatown, but does anyone know of a specific spot? Someone asked once before, but the only definitive answer seemed to be out of borough.

Any seafood places on par with sausage and meat shops like Pino's or Faicco's for getting the goods for a delicious Italian meal? Thanks so much!

I was actually just down there this morning looking all over; none of the markets have eel in today. However Pisacane at 940 1st (near 51st st.) says they have some in. That's the only place I've been able to find.

Nobody in Chinatown had eel. They laughed at me for asking in every single place. Pisacane saved the day last Christmas Eve. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful Neapolitan dinner! Thanks again!

They laughed at you for asking for eel in Chinatown? How bizarre!

Pisacane is wonderful and you could probably get all the ingredients for the meal here. The family is Italian and they certainly rank among the most charming food merchants in the city..

I spoke to the guys at Pisacane today and they reaffirmed that they will have eel for the holidays. Call first to be sure:
