Upscale Christmas Lunch/Dinner in LA?

Sorry if this is a bit repetitive, but here's the specs:

Party of 4
1pm lunch or 7pm dinner
$$$-$$$$ preferred
Non-hotel preferred
10-15 miles from 91208 (ideal, but we're willing to go as far as 45mi)
Buffet or sit-down okay; no preference

I know you said hotels are not preferred, but The Beverly Hills Hotel Polo Lounge is excellent for Christmas. The hotel holiday atmosphere is so nice, and the food is excellent. And you said $$$-$$$$ is preferred, which is good if you go there!
