Cono O'Pescatore in Williamsburg

  • 6

I am going there over the weekend and would like to know something about the food (good, bad or otherwise), atmosphere and service, mostly the food. Thanks in advance.

  1. Basic Williamsburg red sauce, old school joint. Decent food (nothing ground-breaking/ expect the standards), service is hit or miss. I do love their chicken parm with linguine on the side.

Thats funny, I just moved to Greenpoint and have been searching for one of my favorite dishes, chicken parm>

I also noticed they do a price fix $19.00 mon-thurs 4-7pm, which includes the chicken parm.

I will have to try it...

are there places in new york where you CANT get chicken parm?
living in greenpoint LA pizza does a fine hero for less then 6 bucks...

Asumnuthin, I have lived in NY my entire life, I understand the Chicken Parm is readily available all over...

I was just interested in finding the places that prepare it the best which keeps people going back and continually getting it again.

I'll check out LA Pizza, thanks!

Well you did write “just moved to Greenpoint and have been searching for one of my favorite dishes, chicken parm”

Not searching for the best chicken parm in the neighborhood.

I find the Italian American food selection to be fairly poor in the neighborhood. But something like a chicken parm seems hard to make abysmal.

    2. The best thing BY FAR at Cono's is the small, non-descript takeout window off the kitchen on Ainslie street -- small blackboard with heroes only...killer fried calamari fra diavolo hero, and great parms of every sort -- truly excellent sandwiches.
