SHO Shaun Hergatt Tonight

So I'm heading to SHO tonight, and have read through the majority of the threads about it. The only thing I haven't heard much about is the tasting menu. Has anyone done the tasting menu there? How does it line up vs the 3 course?
Are the dishes similar, or is it completely off the menu? We usually like having the option of different dishes for the same course to expand our variety, is the tasting menu the same course for each person, or is their variety?
Thanks,

We went about a month ago and had the 5-course tasting. It is the same course for each person and don't recall if the dishes were off the main menu, but everything was absolutely delicious. Overall, like others discussed in other SHO threads, the food was top notch, as good as some of the better restaurants in the city.

Re wine, someone in another thread recommended the El Quintanal Ribera del Duero that's $50 on the menu (one of the least expensive) and good value, fruity medium bodied with good tannic structure and mouthfeel. If you're not doing the wine pairing and not interested in spending too much on wine, I'd recommend this Spanish red.

Do tell how how your experience was - we've been thinking of going there next month (and are thinking of the tasting menu as well). I've heard so many great things about the place from folks here, but of course, would love to hear your thoughts as well.
