Annapolis Craft Beer Bars/Restaurants

Planning a pub crawl in Annapolis.Other than Ram's Head Tavern, what are the best bars/restaurants in town for a craft beer lover?

    1. Maybe Gordon Biersch (big and kind of a chain) and Castlebay Irish Pub (never been, but I hear it's small and very specialized, sounds interesting).

        1. You're probably better off venturing into the surrounding areas; Annapolis doesn't have much of a beer scene going on. The Brewer's Art in Baltimore is a great choice, particularly for Belgian-style beer. If you're up for a longer drive, visit the Dogfish Head brewery.

(Take with a grain of salt, as I'm no longer a local. I just visit once or twice a year.)

Point well taken. Dogfish brews some of the best beer in the country. But I want to try Castlebay, too.

Hmm, I could swear I posted a response that seems to have disappeared. I suggested 49 West, not really a pub but has a few craft beers on tap and Boatyard Bar and Grille in Eastport. Boatyard has a few craft brews, good food and nice bar atmosphere. I mentioned the first because it's crawlable from Ramshead. Just a thought.

                2. Castlebay has a micro brewery but I'm not sure if they are brewing right now. They stopped because they were going to move their brewing equipment but never did ,and then as far as I know they haven't started brewing again yet. Give them a call and see. 410-626-0165

An interesting place to start might be hero's which is a five min. drive from downtown annapolis, they have 30+ beers on tap.

                    1. Whenever I want a good beer in Annapolis I got to Heroes Pub in West Annapolis. They have a lot of good beers on tap(about 50). When Brewers Art was still distributing Resurrection they had it. Lures bar and grille also used to have Resurrection and some other good mircrobrews but a bit of a hike from downtown.
