N. FORT MYERS -- Who has the best produce for a great price?
I'll have to do some last minute shopping for groceries to prep for Christmas 2009 on Christmas Eve day.
First, who has the cheapest good produce in N. Ft. Myers? I think Winn Dixie and Publix are both expensive. But...sometimes, that's all that's available.
What about that place over on Hancock and Orange Grove Blvd? Do they have produce?
How're the Target's prices there on Pine Island?
There's always Wallymart as last resort IF I want to punish myself with a surreal experience (but there's always Sonic to make it up ;-).
Where do you think I'll get the best deals (and that won't be a Christmas Eve day nightmare from the mobs of lunatic shoppers)?
Second, are places closing early on Christmas Eve? Help me out if you happen to know closing times.
Thanks. Merry Christmas and Happy 2010!

I'd go father afield and head down to Paesano's on Cape Coral Parkway. They have great pricing on veggies. All those Italians from New Jersey insist on great prices and good produce. They have lots of local produce that people bring to them from their backyards.
Thursday morning you can head over the 41 bridge to the Fort Myers Farmers Market. It is right under the bridge and has a good variety of produce.
I prefer Paesano's to the Cape Coral farmers market on Saturdays. Their variety in their deli is excellent as well, especially now that I will not buy deli at Publix with their silly pricing on Boars Head (besides the company condones thugs)
