Christmas day breakfast or brunch near LAX?
On Christmas day, Ms. Dr. Oz and I are shlepping the Greater Ozlet to LAX so that she can fly off to visit the Lesser Ozlet in Japan. She needs to be at the airport around 9:00 a.m.
Now, our Christmas tradition as observant Jews (observant of this tradition, anyway) is Chinese food and a movie. We have decided on the movie: "Avatar" in IMAX 3-D at the Bridge in Westchester, which starts at 11:30 or so. So we have 2 to 2-1/2 hours for eating between the dropoff and the movie. In light of the tradition, dim sum would be the obvious (and perfect) choice, but I am unaware of any dim sum possibilities anywhere near LAX, and the time is insufficient to travel to Monterey Park or Chinatown -- even if any dim sum emporia in either of those venues opened early enough, which I do not believe is the case.
So what I need is a suggestion for a good breakfast or (early) brunch place (a) in the general vicinity of LAX, and (b) that will be serving on Christmas day. Since traffic at that time of day will probably be relatively light, I suppose the range would go as far south as Manhattan Beach, as far north as Venice, and and far east as maybe Gardena. Any ideas?

do you have any flexibility in the selection of movie start time?
Sea Empress Seafood Restaurant in gardena will be serving dim sum starting at ten AM.
if you are open to seeing the movie later on, this might work.

The Kettle in Manhattan Beach is open but it will be very busy.

re: Servorg
I decided to check. They are only filling catering orders on Christmas so the restaurant won't be open. However, Ayara Thai food in Westchester WILL be open.
