Cinque Terra, Portland: recent updates?

I've had several terrific meals here in the past (most recently two+ years ago), and enjoyed Chef Sawicki's concepts and tastes. But it seems to me my fellow hounds haven't been so enthusiastic of late. Am thinking to making this the stop for my coming birthday, so would welcome any notes of recent experiences.
