Chan's is no more!
After 30 years or more Chan's restaurant in the north west corner of Cedar and Shields is no more. I stopped in tonight only to find none of the old Chan's people on sight. After questioning the counter girl I find Chan's has been sold to another owner. How sad, my all you can swaller for a dollar Chinese restaurant is gone. The arrival of a Panda Express in the area seems to be the reason for Chan's demise. At my son's request we have ordered from Panda twice. GREASE , only to be helped by a double dose of Pepcid maximum strength each time! At the sake of fairness I ordered a dinner from the new owners of Chan's only to be more disappointed! I will never return to either place!
