Who Remembers the Sesame Chicken from the Restaurant Sanmi from the late 70s!!?

One of those taste memories that has remained so vividly in my mind was the Sesame Chicken from the now-defunct Restaurant Sanmi that was somewhere in the avenues near SF State. In the late 70s and early 80s, me and my crowd used to rave about the Sesame Chicken & spend countless meals there.i. I have never found Sesame Chicken as delectable since. I wonder if anyone knows if the proprieters of this old haunt ever re-opened another Japanese Restarant ( possibly under a different name) that still exists today? -JET

I have been to Sanmi restaurant on Geary several times and really enjoyed my meals there. They specialize in home style Japanese cooking and I think they do have sesame chicken on the menu, though I have not tried it. You may want to check it out.

Thanks, Kuri! It seems quite coincidental that there is now a restaurant on Geary with the same name. When I am in the Bay Area in a week, I will most definetely check it out!!
