Foodie's Day Out

Now that the winter break has rolled around, I wanted to take this opportunity to enjoy some foodie destinations around Calgary.

I was looking more for markets and things that would be fun/interesting to go to.

I was looking at checking out Calgary's "Little India" and some Indian markets, also looking at some of the Filipino markets in town. I also want to go and check out Blush Lane.

Does anyone have any recommendations for some food market adventures?

-Thanks

    1. Have you been to cookbook company? not a huge market but lots of unique items.

        1. Have you been to NAGA store in Varsity? The store is owned by a Malaysian couple but they bring in goods for their SE Asian and Indian customers.

            1. My food shopping days consist of:
              - Calgary's Farmer's Market
              - Wine Market near Farmer's Market
              - Community
              - either Lina's Italian Market or Scarpone's
              - T&T (Harvest Hills location is much better)
              - sometimes the Butcher Shoppe in Airdrie

              ... sorry pretty boring.

                  Thanks for the advice,

I have been to the cookbook company yes, I like it alot.

I have not been to NAGA, that sounds like it is right up my alley.

And I haven't been to the Harvest Hills T&T so I will check that out.

Anyone been to any of the Filipino food stores in town?

                  • Foodie149 I posted this on another thread today. It's info on a fun foodie tour. You might really enjoy it, if that's what you are looking for. Check it out.
