Max Fish in Glastonbury, CT

Went last night and it was not crowded at all. Food and service were very nice. Appetizers were the seared tuna, the tuna tacos and the oysters. All a good portion and very fresh. Main courses were the grilled salmon, grilled tuna, the seafood cioppino (highly reccomend as I ate the ENTIRE pot of it) and a steak for the one person at the table who just started eating fish. Desserts were the key lime pie and the sorbet. All were very tasty and I look forward to returning.

I was so underwhelmed by my visit to Max Fish that I decided that I would never return. The food was terrible the night I was there - and it was so darned noisy that the four of us could barely hear one another.

Really, we have never had this experience here. It does get a bit noisy in the bar area but we always hear each other well. And the food has always been excellent the times we went. Not sure what you expected but the Max restaurants are generally the best around. Jay

I agree with Jay. While Max Fish may not be Le Bernadin, it is well prepared food professionaly served. And as noted above, the $2 Shark Bar Bites are just about the best deal around. Three or four of those and a glass of wine is a fine way to spend an hour.

I LOVE Max Fish! One of my favorites. We especially enjoy going for Happy Hour and getting the $2 appetizers....the calamari and the burger are both great! Oh, and the buffalo shrimp is tasty too!

Probably this is obvious to the people who live in the area, but where is this Max Fish?

I am glad to hear you liked Max Fish. It is one of our favorites. I am not a big fish eater but I do love seafood and theirs is excellent, but it is pricey. Jay
