Anyone know where to get them in Calgary?
the alternate word is cornish game hens and you can get them anywhere(wikipedia)
Cornish Hens are the result of much cross breeding, including chickens.
Poussins are very young chickens.
um they may be cross bred but read the first paragraph of your own link and tell me im giving false statements to the op .
this can be another option for the op
howlin, therer are differences as I pointed out. And if you had ever tasted either, you would know they are different.
The fact that some Americans don't know the difference really doesn't change the facts.
ive had both im just suggesting another option as i pointed out earlier .if you cant find poussins
oh by the way the ones i did find i got from t and t .if the franklin mall location doesnt have it harvest hills should.
you could also try the frozen section of most bigger chinese grocers. they usually have all kinds of fowl; squab, duck, quail, goose; so they might have poussins too.
The only bigger Chinese grocer I know of is T&T, where I have found a few things like fresh cornish game hens, though it is hit and miss on the fresh poultry, just have to be there on the right day.
Any other Chinese grocers you would suggest?
You could try Lambda or Jay's (i think that's what's called... centre st and 16th ave N). There's also another one on the south side of 17ave SE and 31st.
You might try Bite.
Never been to Bite. I also for some reason that escapes me thought that it was a coffee shop/prepared food kind of place. Will go soon. Wish they had a website to do some recon.
