Anybody know of any eating challenges in KC? You see all of them on these tv shows like Man v. Food, and just wondering what KC would have to offer...

Papa Bob's BBQ (in the Kansas City area)—Barbecue lovers will be happy to take on this challenge. Known as the Ultimate Destroyer, this sandwich features 4 1/2 pounds of meat (pork, ham, hamburger and sausage), six slices of bread, 1 1/2 pounds of french fries, a tasty sauce and the option of either pickles or jalapeno slices. This challenge is not for the faint of heart though many have tried. To date only one individual has come close to completing the challenge (he came within 2 1/2 pounds of finishing). The challenge is to eat the entire sandwich within 45 minutes. Winners get the sandwich for free.

The Double Nickel Diner in Olathe has a challenge sandwich which is called the "Bet-Cha-Can't" Burger: 3 one lb. patties of meat, 2 eggs, 3 slices of ham, 9 slices of cheese, 8 slices of bacon, 1 cup of chili, topped with sour cream, on a 10" bun. Eat it and 2 pounds of French fries in 30 minutes and it ifs free.

Jaywalkers on 39th and Rainbow across from the KUMC has a 1 lb burger that if you eat you get your picture on the wall. Not sure of the rules, but they have a wall with lots of pictures on it.
