Lucky Boy Burger in OC?

Looking for a burger joint like Pasadena's Lucky Boy or Top's, located in the OC. Chargrilled burger joint that has lots of menu items including Chili Cheese Fries. I like the Hat, but wanted something truly local. Is there such a place? Bill's in Costa Mesa (on Redhill) is kind of what I'm looking for. Thanks.

    There's an old school place in Brea that might fill the bill. They have ostrich burgers as well.

      Throw Portillo's into your "not truly local but has lots of menu items including Chili Cheese Fries" hat. They're Chicago-based, of course, and have one outpost in an OC.

      Most of us go to Portillo's for Italian beef or hot dogs or chocolate-cake shakes ( http://www.portillos.com/portillos/menu/ ), but they sell plenty of char-broiled burgers, which -- if you can trust their Web site -- are the best in town!!!

        Good call on Portillo's. People overlook the hamburgers because of the other offerings, but the hamburgers are good and I see lots of people eating them. My current favorite thing to order is the grilled tuna sandwich.

        I go to Portillo's a few times a month and I live about 5 minutes from Lucky Boy's. Hard to resist their breakfast burrito or chili dogs.
