Creepy looking bacon-wrapped turkey on sidebar

porker Dec 20, 2009 04:45 AM

Is it just me, or does that bacon wrapped turkey on the CH sidebar look like a giant caterpillar, something like this

I always get creeped out, thinking GIANT CATERPILLAR IN A ROASTING PAN. Then say "Easy Porker, its a bacon wrapped TURKEY....a good thing..."

I'm with you. The sidebra features are so often irrelevant (e.g., Halloween in December)that I didn't pay enough ettention to realize that it's bacon, but to me it looks like a giant brown shrimp or lobster tail.

I thought it was an armadillo at first, lol.

The home page today is honoring the bacon-wrapped armadillo. (In the carousel.)

And to think back to when the Mod's would put up a warning "post" to everyone about the evils of "April 1" special posts....(not that that stopped the hardcore fun hounds) ;-D>

Anyone look at today's - do you remember the movie "Soylent Green"?

Pesto-vomit dip, or the braised gray meat with blubber? Is Tim Burton the Chow food stylist?
