Old World Belgian Waffles
There used to be a restaurant on Sunset called the Old World, and my husband dreams about their Belgian waffles. Is there a way to get that recipe or find Belgian Waffles of equal wonder in L.A.?

My favorite place for waffles in Los Angeles is "More Than Waffles" in Encino. If the SFV isn't too far out of your way, and your husband is jonsing for waffles, then this is a place he would undoubtedly enjoy.

For recipes you'll need to go over to the Home Cooking board which can be found here: http://chowhound.chow.com/boards/31
There is a chain called EuroStation Waffles & Crepes that has been reviewed here before. I think the closest one in the LA area is at the Howard Hughes Promenade up on Sepulveda Blvd. in Westchester (on the way to LAX going south on the 405 from the westside and the Valley). Some really bad reports on the service but the food may meet your husbands dreams (or not). At least you probably won't be risking the family fortune having a couple of waffles. All that being said, if you decide to try this place out just make sure it's still in business before driving over as it was reported as having "very little" business most of the time.
