coconut rice - how do you do it?

hi chowhounds,
i'm terrible at making rice in the first place, and i really want to make some delicious, creamy coconut rice- like i've had at burmese restaurants, for example. does anyone have a recipe or a method they're willing to share?

I never had rice like they have in a burmese restaurant but I have had coconut rice; I was taught how to make it by a Jamaican using the same method like making regular rice but use coconut milk & cream as the liquid and add ground toasted coconut...you can also make it in the slow cooker which will yield a creamier rice...

      A good method is to take the coconut cream off the top and fry the rice in it, until it starts to look a little chalky then add the liquid.

        This is one of my fav versions and with diced mango a wonderful treat; even for breakafast!
