Atlanta: Hidden Gems near Douglasville
My wife and I will be in Douglasville for a few days visiting family; any places we should check out? Chick-fil-a and cheesy-psuedo-Mexican are both great, but I want to make sure that we aren't missing out on anything we haven't spotted yet...

Assuming you're talking about over the holiday. If it works out to coincide with when they're open, you should check out Patak Meats in Austell. Amazing butcher/smokehouse- not a sitdown or even a full meal, but any kind of cured meat you could imagine.
And it may not be super close, but Serenbe is south of Douglasville (near Palmetto) and is kind of a cool place. There are a couple of eateries and the restaurant at the Inn at Serenbe.
