San Diego's Com Tam 75

Has anyone tried the food at Com Tam 75 at 54th and El Cajon Blvd? I think the place used to be a Rice King and it is now advertising Vietnamese food.

Com Tam 75 has a wide variety of foods. I'm not a big fan of Vietnamese food in general but I came here with a buddy claiming they had a good philly cheese steak, man is it good. He has had their Com Tam and says it's really good seeing we like to frequent this mom and pop place twice a week.

I almost ate there once, but walked out due to the sad , depressed looking food that was being kept in good company by a few flies.

I've been here a couple of times. The Com Tam is mediocre. It seems that the place tries to serve everything under the sun, Banh Mi, Bun Bo Hue, Com Tam, etc, etc...... Even stuff like tacos (!), and Korean BBQ. Truthfully, the best thing I had was Spam, Eggs, and Rice.

Huynh Hua Tuu makes a pretty good Com Tam, I love the Cha, lots of flavor and moist.
