Paula Deen chose Cat Cora on Iron Chef

Did anyone catch this last nite? I rarely watch Iron Chef as it's on too late for me. Anyhoo - PD chose CC as her "co-chef" and Tyler Florence was paired with the dude that cooks militarily (I forgot his name).

The surprise ingredient was . . . .wait for it . . . .SUGAR! MOUNTAINS of sugar!

I thot it was pretty funny with creative dishes. I can't imagine the clean up after a sugar mad rush as that show was.

In the end, Tina Fey, as one of the guest judges, laid her head down on the table in a food coma. I had to laugh out loud.

Anyway, maybe this is a rerun, but it's the first time I've seen it.

yes it was from last year. Anything with cat cora sucks IMO.

Especially that stupid dessert with the brought in brioche, pastry cream and fruit. It looked like something Sandra Lee would make, though she would've called it brioche bread.

The judge's comment that it reminded her of strawberry short cake didn't seem especially enlightening, to me. Bread product, strawberries, cream--well, yeah.
