Private Event Venue Recommendation

Hi,

I am organizing a holiday party for around 40-50 people in January. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a possible venue. I'm looking for a moderately upscale establishment, preferably with a private room, in the downtown Boston/financial district area to serve beer, wine, and hors d'oeuvres. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

the Custom House(Marriott Corp) has a terrific space for that size group in their 2nd floor rotunda area; you'd be bringing in a caterer. If the event takes place in daylight hours, they will allow you up at the top observation decks, and the 360 degree views are unbeatable.

if you're looking for a restnt, Sonsie on Newbury St. has a handsome downstairs room.

Does Felt do that? That place is young, a bit upscale...hip..maybe too young? Events always look cool there (although I only see pictures friends post)
