Our new double oven is on back order and won't be delivered until New Year. We've survived with grill cooking outside and stove top and our panini grill plus toaster oven but can't cook a turkey in any of those. Just a few suggestions please!

At Thanksgiving, opentable.com provided a large special list of open restaurants, and they currently have a smaller one for New Years Eve, but there doesn't seem to be anything about Christmas. You can, nevertheless, see who's open -- at this writing, at least -- by selecting a likely time on Christmas Day and searching for a reservation in relevant areas. For example, I just found 178 restaurants offering reservations at 6pm in all of Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Not every place uses OpenTable, but it gets you started. Merry Christmas!

Any of the hotel restaurants, my favorite being Catch at Casa del Mar.

Check out Il Moro. I think I rec'd an e-mail from them about holiday dinners.
