Dinner after the Cleveland Orchestra

Does anyone have recommendations for late dinner after a concert at Severance Hall? East 4th is an option, but I'm wondering if there's anything interesting nearby. I'm a native Clevelander who now lives in Seattle, but I'm spending more time in town these days. I've been to some of the usual suspects like Moxie and Lola. I'm considering Greenhouse Tavern since it's open late, but I'm also curious about Verve. Thoughts?

We ended up at l'Albatross and it was wonderful. I highly recommend it as well. If you're headed to Severance for the holiday concert, this is a beautiful way to spend the evening.

I've been to l'Albatross at least 6-8 times in the past year. Highly recommended. Well prepared brasserie fare. Menu is very good, the specials are even better.

I agree with the recommendation for l'Albatros. It's 5 minutes away by car with parking right in front. Consistently good food and service in the four meals I've eaten there.

I recommend L'Albatros Brasserie, Zach Bruell's newish restaurant in University Circle. It's a two-minute drive from Severance Hall and is open late. It's fantastic upscale French-inspired seafood with a great wine list. You won't be disappointed!

How late do the orchestra concerts go? Verve is open till 10 during the week, 11 on weekends (and closed Sundays).

I went to Verve and I would recommend giving it a try. Nothing was exceptional, but overall it was withing striking distance of some of my favorite restaurants.

I had the chicken, which may not have been the best dish with which to evaluate a restaurant. There are only two restaurants in the area that consistently serve good chicken and Verve's wasn't quite on that level but it was better than any other. It was well seasoned and juicy. Some bites even had a nice chicken flavor which is where even some of the best area restaurants fail.

The temperature on my apple crisp was a little of but it didn't ruin a very flavorful dessert. Good flavor in both the crisp and the apples. And maybe some people don't like their crisps quite as hot as I do.
