Prime butcher north of Boston?

sillysully Dec 17, 2009 12:30 PM

Read about Savenor's and sounds great. Any prime butchers that I don't have to travel in to Boston for?

Not as boutiquey or specialized, but I've always heard good things about the meat from Butcher Boy in North Andover

Butcher Boy is mostly Choice. they can get Prime and sometimes they have some left over from other special orders. best to call or visit ahead of your plans.

The Olde Redding Butcher Shop in Reading had some Prime Beef there last week....looked great. Nice people too.
They are on Haven St across from Reading Coop Bank.

I will check out Olde Redding. Hadn't thought of special ordering at Butcher Boy and I can check at local McKinnon's - just wanted a place I could go on impulse and get some prime beef to have at home for a special meal now and then.
          Thanks for the replies!

Just read that I can get Prime at Costco. Will check that out, too. THX
