looking for Locanico -- Greek sausage
A few years ago, I discovered locanico, a greek sausage, in the Boston area. Now I'm looking for a source in Connecticut or the NYC metro. Google hasn't given me any useful results. Do you have a source?
Locanico has some orange rind in it, and some fennel, and perhaps some wine. I've seen it served for breakfast in diners. I've served it with crackers as an hors d'oeuvre.

"Old Nieghborhood" is the most common brand, it is pretty easy to find as they manufacture out of Mass. Call them and they'll tell you where to go in Conn.:

Here's a recipe; sounds fairly easy:

You can buy it from Amazon:

Although not available online, I'm guessing Titan in Astoria would carry it:

re: johnk
Yep, that's the place you want to be.
You have two *other* places in that mini-mall you'll want to check out. The Plaza Meat Market is one, and Artopolis is the other. The Plaza Meat Market makes some excellent sausage for grilling in the summertime. I'm not sure of its availability now or if they make the Loukaniko you're seeking, but give them a call to see if they have it. Stop in to Artopolis for a real treat while you're there too.Plaza Meat Market --> http://www.thecitycook.com/shopping/data/000253
