northshore pizza

OK, Pizzaman is the best hands down but there is finally another good pizza place on northshore. Biagio's Italian Deli in Mandeville. Has anyone tried a large pie from there? It is very close to what one would find in New York.
I don't understand how anyone could eat ROMA Pizza or COSCINO'S and think it is good. They are awful. Also makes me sad to see the number of cars with the Papa John's or DOmino's sign on top driving around. AWFUL

Tried Biagio's last night, and thought it was better than anything I've had in the region, north or south of the lake

Wow I need to try Biagio's Deli!! I love PiZZA! I agree with you as far as Pizza Man, but I do like Coscino's. Especially their meatball pizza. Pretty good. Have you tried Sorellis Pizza in downton Covington? I've been once and the pizza was pretty good. I hear they spent $$$ on a brick oven. The night I was there it was also block party night so they were super busy, I will go back though.

There is a place on 21 in Covington across from the Target, not sure of the name but it's not bad either.

sorellis pizza was awful. the place was nice, the service was great, the grilled buffalo wings were good but the pizza was awful. i tasted nothing of a brick oven. dough/crust was like a bisquit or canned crescent roll.. cheese was dry and very little. sausage was horrendous. sauce was good. i just think that people do not know pizza in louisiana. i don't understand how a owner could taste that product and think 'people will love this." it was packed and it is a friendly place. like i said the appetizer was really good but the pizza is sad. the place on 21 is called anthony's fornino. i have had it several times. up and down. a few times it was incredible, other times not so much.......

I must disagree with mcegielski. Sorelli's pizza was delicious!!!! I also agree that Pizza man reigns supreme as far a northshore pizza restaurants, but sorelli's is definitely a close 2nd! Everything I've had there is amazing.

i will give them one more shot but that is all....what i experienced was not good. no where near as good as pizza man or biagio's. it tasted like bisquik crust. i made pizza at home this weekend based off of due's recipe in chicago and it as way better. i did see some thin crusts at sorelli's that looked better than what i experienced. i'll give em one more shot (maybe). it just was not what i call delicious.

I like Isabella's...though I'm not sure if they are still open. I haven't lived on the NS for over a year.

Isabella's is good. They have moved to Hwy 190 (Florida Ave) near the French Market shop
