Lunch recommendation - Plainview area

I posted yesterday asking for a lunch recommendaion in Locust Valley or Syosset and thank everyone who replied.

However, my aunties have changed their minds (to hell with the mansions and scenery of the North Shore) and now want to go shopping at Fairway & Trader Joes in Plainview instead.

So I am now looking for a rec. for a good lunch in the Plainview area - not too expensive, no sushi or spicy.
I see good comments here on The Orient in Bethpage - still good? what to order?
How about West East in Hicksville?

Any other Plainview area recs. welcome as my aunties now want to go to Fairway weekly and I might as well get a good lunch out of the trip.

  1. Brasserie Cassis on South Oyster Bay Rd.
I didn't think West East was anything special.

    1. Right in the same shopping center as Fairway is Kumo, good sushi, and Cheeburger Cheeburger, great fries and shakes. Down Manetto Hill Road, corner of Old Country, is Regal Kosher Deli.

Second rec for Cassis, which is in adjoining shopping center to Trader Joe's.

      1. Orient is still good in my book. Order crispy chicken, Chilean sea bass in soy-ginger sauce (off menu item), if you're daring, stuffed tofu with conch, clams in black bean sauce.
