Hot Chocolate
A few weeks ago I had the most delicious hot chocolate shot at a Christmas party and I'm still dreaming about it. It tasted like it was made with melted milk chocolate and pure cream. I think hot chocolate made with heavy cream is formally referred to as "Italian Hot Chocolate"? Does anyone know where I could find something similar? Tried City Bakery, it was almost there, but not quite. The Italian Hot Chocolate at Max Brenner is the closest thing that compares. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks!
City Bakery on 18th off 5th Ave has hot chocolate that is "to die for" They also have home made marshmallows. So rich and thick that I had a hard time finishing a large cup.

Oops, I see you tried City Bakery, sorry. I do know of this great little English tea shop in Lisbon near the British embassy!

Try Marie Belle. When they had a place on Prince they automatically made all hot chocolate thick like that. The place on Grand is usually a bit thinner, but if you ask them to make it super thick they will. Definitely get a small, a large would be too much. They remain my favorite. Jacques Torres comes in second.
