Need a Recommendation- Wine for Jambalaya

Hi All,

Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

I need some recommendations for wines to pair with Jambalaya. My friend said it will be medium spicy.

And I still stick to my Riesling, and PN recs., so long as the PN is not too high in ABV, and is adequately fruit-driven.

Now, some jambalaya recipes concentrate more on tomato, and for those, I'd be thinking a Beaujolais, or a Sangiovese for the acid.

With the exception of pasta and a red sauce such as marinara or arrabiata, I always prefer white wine with spicy food. More specifically, I like an acidic white, which tends to cut through a spicy entree such as jambalaya. My advice would be to lay your hands on a good bottle of pinot grigio and make sure it is well chilled when you serve it.
