Source of frozen dumplings in Queens?

When I used to live in Oakland, there was this little place in Chinatown that sold its dumplings uncooked and frozen. There would always be two people in the front window hand making them, and they were *insanely* good. Anyone come across really good dumplings that restaurants will sell fresh and uncooked, or frozen?

        1. I was @ the Flushing Mall a couple of weeks ago and I noticed there were a couple of independent food stalls making fresh dumplings for sale. I'm sure if you went to any of the stalls featuring them, they would accommodate you.

I think every one of the 4/5 for a dollar dumpling storefronts in manhattan, brooklyn, and queens sells their dumplings frozen and uncooked to take home.

In queens I get mine at the golden mall stall that's furthest down next to the Xian stall. but these are roundish dumplings good for boiling, not the crescent ones good for pan-frying. However, there are tons of other places in flushing that would have those.

Also agree with jinglejangle, lao bei fang in elmhurst has great dumplings and sells them frozen.

I highly recommend Kathryn's recomendations. Followed her flushing guide spot to spot and had an amazing a delicious experience. I'm a comfortable regular now. And yes I always pick up a bag of 50 frozen for home. Thanks Kathryn!!!
