Need a recommendation near Penn Station, please
I'm meeting a picky eater who is coming in from Long Island. Any ideas of a decent place within 4-5 blocks? Not super expensive -- entrees in $20's ok. Thanks

I second Szechuan Gourmet. I think it's 39th btwn 5th and 6th. You can also try Uncle Jack's on 9th avenue (steakhouse).

Not sure whether you consider this too far, but there is Terrance Brennan's restaurant Artisanal to consider. It's at 32nd & Park & is has a cheese cave!
