Looking for quail eggs in SF or Marin

I want to do deviled quail eggs for the xmas party I'm having. I live in San Francisco, but I'm also in Marin pretty frequently. Anyone spotted quail eggs recently? Thanks!

Only Marina Market is in the area the OP requested. No 99 Ranch or Lion's foods in Marin or SF.

I thought the San Mateo store was the northernmost post of Marina Foods.

I thought thougth the reference was to Marina Super Market on Chestnut Street. Don't know if they sell quail eggs though. Given the other two recs, it might also be out of the requested area.

all 3 are huge asian chain markets. would think that one or all are pretty wide spread now. maybe not?

I don't want to get off topic, but I'm curious--what's a good price for quail eggs? I saw that they're 1.99 for 10 at Tokyo Fish.

Thanks for the tip. If anyone has seen them at grocery stores such as Whole Foods, Calmart, Bryan's, Andronico's, etc please let me know. If I went to Chinatown it would be a separate special trip and I was hoping to pick them up while doing my other holiday food shopping. Thanks!

I'd call Whole Foods to ask if they have them, I've seen them at the Berkeley location.

Niji-ya in Japan center is not far from Calmart/Bryans, and neither is New May Wah supermarket on Clement at 6th or 7th avenue.

If the stores you mention have quail eggs, they will be a lot more expensive. The egg vendor at the Wednesday Civic center market and Saturday Alameda market has quail eggs.

Almost any Mexican market will have them. IIRC, the Mexican market on Fourth St in San Rafael across from the original Sol Foods will have them. If not, the Mexican Market near Seafood Peddler, might (in the strip mall with the Indian restaurant) There is also an Asian Market across the street from Whole Foods in San Rafael that will probably have them.

We bought them at Berkeley bowl west last week.

Berkeley Bowl has them as does Tokyo Fish. My wife just purchased some at both places.

Unfortuntaely I live in the East Bay so I'm not sure where to get something like that in the north bay. One place you might try calling is Bryan Flannery's Fine Foods in the Corte Madera Towne Center.
