Really depends on what your idea of not too costly is. I really like a Secco-Bertani Valpolicella which runs about $20 tax in at the SAQ. If you want to go more expensive a nice Chateau-Neuf-du-Pape is always good and if you want to go cheaper, I like a Corvo red which is maybe 12 or 13 dollars. There's such a ridiculous variety of wine available and such a wide spectrum in terms of price that its really a question of taste and preference. It's not like single malt scotch for instance where you can single out great bottles like a Lagavulin or a Laphroaig.
