Christmas in Columbia County NY

We are setting up a new home in Columbia County NY (Hillsdale) over the Christmas holidays. We need a place for dinner on Xmas Eve and Xmas night. Any suggestion on who is open? Thanks.

The only way to find out for sure is to call restaurants and ask, but I would assume that nothing will be open on Christmas, and that most, if not all, will be open Christmas Eve. You have Swiss Hutte in Hillsdale, John Andrew's just over the border in Egremont, Carolina House in Kinderhook, and the many places in Hudson, but definitely check first. If you really get desperate for Christmas day, I would look for restaurants in hotels, which probably means see if anything in Albany might be open.
