There is a fence around the Sunset Blvd location and a sign in the window says, a public hearing about a Del Taco is going to be held.

The Pioneer Chicken in Echo Park is now a Little Ceasar's pizza.

That's the Soto, location. It's on the corner of Soto and Whittier Blvd.

Oh man, say it isn't so!! The branch just a mile away on Echo Park Ave. closed last year. I heard that there was supposed to be a location somewhere on Olympic and another in Bell Gardens.

I know Pioneer has a lot of detractors but I'm so bummed that they're gone.

The headquarters used to be on 6th Street in K-town if I recall correctly. If there are no more, we'll have to rent "Dusty and Sweets McGee" for a nostalgic seance.

i could have sworn the sunset and fountain location was still in operation as i was barely across the street and distinctively smelled fried chicken fumes, that was within the last two days or so.

not sure - i think the one just east of fairfax on san vicente is still open. i really need to go more often b/c i don't want it to totally die! i love pioneer chicken. too bad the westwood/pico location is no more!

It is open but the address is Olympic, although you can pull into the parking lot from San Vicente also. That location is very clean and the wings are perfect. .

There is still a branch in Burbank, at Verdugo and Hollywood Way. And I think the branch at Hollywood Blvd. and Cahuenga north of World News is still there.
