Anyone know where to get spikenard in SF or online?

I've been tasked with finding this obscure spice that's used in Medieval cooking for a friend on the East Coast. He also wants grains of paradise, but I know I've seen those in San Francisco. If anyone has advice, I'd really appreciate!

    I would check two places:

    (1) Rainbow grocery (which almost certainly has grains of paradise, the other i don' know)

    (2) The herb shop on Valencia (near 25th?). They have lots of stuff that isn't strictly culinary (medicinal, etc.). I was able to find some items there to make bitters that I couldn't fine elsewhere.

Lhasa Karnak had it in their online catalog.

The branch of Lhasa Karnak on Telegraph is bigger.

Herb shop on Valencia, you mean Scarlet Sage?
