Tampa.....Datz deli or Pane Rustica?

Trying to decide between Datz Deli or Pane Rustica for lunch Sunday. Help!
They both sound very good.

where'd you end up? I love both places but for me Datz is more for the fun atmosphere & the beer/vino selection, Pane is for the creative and consistently excellent grub.

Ate at Pane Rustica today for a late lunch. I had a vegetable sandwich and my husband ordered "Shut Up and Eat" (a dish that is not disclosed when you order it). We enjoyed our food and the ambiance of the restaurant. Our waiter was nice and helpful. We have also eaten at Datz and I would say Pane Rustica would be my choice if going back for lunch - lighter and healthier. Go Datz if you are in the mood for a giant dessert - the cannoli chocolate cake at Datz was great

so what exactly did hubby get?

They brought him scallops (with a bit of crumb coating) with spinach angel hair pasta in a garlic cream sauce and some crispy carrot coins. He also got a yummy dinner roll.

If you have your heart set on a monster sandwich, go Datz. But Pane Rustica is far more consistent. I'd go there. But i like Irwin's suggestion. Try em both and tell us!

Went to Datz's deli and LOVED it! Eggs Benedict were perfect! Love the ambiance. Live music at lunch. Desserts looked incredible and huge, but sadly had no room:( Would definitely go back. Next time I'm in Tpa. I'll try Pane Rustica.
