Recs for Business Dinner that's not too staid!

Looking for recs for a business/social dinner with great food and good loungy places where the scene is primary, food secondary. Considering Ceccioni's, Spago along those lines. Location between Century City and South Bay. Thanks.

  1. I would highly recommend The Bazaar by Jose Andres at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. Very trendy, very hip, and the food is quite delicious, too. Esquire named it Restaurant of the Year. Request for dining space in the Roja area, and do try the liquid nitrogen caprihinia (sp?) they make that tableside and it's an impressive show. I found service to be spectacular.
I would choose Spago more a bit more relaxed setting. While the food is wonderful, it's a place where the food is better than the atmosphere.

    1. I don't like the food at Spago, but I think it's a good place for a business dinner because the booths are capacious and the noise level moderate, without the place, at the same time, seeming dead. Out of towners in particular seem to like it - it fits some fantasy of L.A. to them.
