"Secret Ingredients -- The New Yorker Book of Food and Drink"

This book is a great gift suggestion for the foodie-reader on your holiday gift list. I couldn't leave the bookstore this afternoon without buying a copy of it for myself. It's full of wonderful, food-centric writing and the great cartoons the New Yorker is known for. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url...

I just came across this on my bookshelves. We're leaving the country next week and I didn't want to start a big book that I would likely not finish and have to carry with me. I've never read all the way through this so this time I started with MFK's pieces in "Eating In." What a great book for a reader and food lover. And even some recipes.

I got it for Christmas last year from my dear teenaged son. I have read it straight through twice, and dipped in for occasional articles many times.
